Some of my friends are riding in the bus caravan across the V bridge to Staten Island today. Then they will join the protest march. I did not go because I question the motivation of one Mr Al Sharpton. An oportunist who needs an issue to keep the dollars flowing into his bank account. Am I being a cynical white racist? No. My wife is black and we have two sons. Young black men, by society's standards. I am a white man who thinks Sharton is full of shit. Anyone agree?

    I agree with you 100%. I think both Sharpton and Jesse L. Jackson are both opportunists with blinders. They take the side of black causes, right or wrong, rather than by merit. See Crown Heights Riot, for instance.

    I had no idea that there was a Vagina bridge to Staten Island!

    I think the word "racist" is one of those words that PC culture enjoys throwing around. I've seen and heard people getting accused of being a racist for silly reasons. Why! I have even been called a "racist" simply for being honest and not PC.

    Well I'm black and I was there that day. Sharpton was pretty mellow out there. I am not a big Sharpton fan. Too much drama. This is not 1963. But Rev. Al handled himself very well that day. I felt that he put the issue out front. Not himself. He'll never be MLK ( who could?), but I think Rev. Al did a superb job with the Staton Island march.
