Acoustic ears

Ok i like to listen to SOAD, Slipknot, Disturbed, ect, at school and i listen to it full blast on my iTouch, but everyone says i listen to it too loud, but as soon as i take my headphones out they get alot quieter. And like ive hada teacher tell me to turn my volume down and i'll pull my headphone out to listen and she said ty, but i put them back on and she bitched at me again..... is it normal to have really acoustic ears???

  • You're damaging your ear drums. Stop listening to loud music or sounds for extended periods of time.

I listen to my music really very loud too. I've been doing it for years. Never felt anything. Even when I was just a little girl. But mine are damaged now. People always told me to turn it down, but I never really did. It's not like I couldn't, I just seriously can't pull myself away from listening to it so loud. People think that drugs are the only things you can have an addiction to. They're wrong.

I think it's a possibility that your ears are already damaged too, and that's why it doesn't bother you. You just can't feel that they're damaged. Do you hear ringing constantly?

It would be best for you to stop listening to it so loud. Then you can hear a little bit longer into your life then you would if you continue this bad habit.
