Acne from smoking marijuana?

I've been told it's from the 'munchies'. I'm sorta taking it into account that it's due to all the sugars, grease, fats and the likes of it.
But I've never really had that problem when I ate those without smoking.

Possible? What's in it? Why do I break out? Thank you!

    Smoking marijuana doesn't cause acne.

        Possibly.

Acne is a bacterial infection exacerbated by various factors, with the primary cause being excess sebum production (oily skin) which traps bacteria.

It can become worse during times of stress, but it can also occur in the total absence of stress.

There's no evidence eating greasy / oily foods causes acne or makes it worse.

Some women find they have breakouts around their period, since hormonal fluctuation as a result of the menstrual cycle can affect oil production in the skin. So that's something to consider.

Oh and of course make-up can make acne worse.

            Anyway I'll stop rambling now.

  • Acne is usually triggered by something hormonal. If you're a women who has a naturally high androgen level (androgens are hormones similar to testosterone causing things like hair growth and bad skin) then you could just be prone to acne but I doubt that the weed has much to do with it. I've seen people who use hardcore drugs break out badly though. Not saying you do, but if you do that's something to consider. Food does have an impact on your skin but hormones have a bigger impact on your skin. If you're a male, try eat healthier, or just drink a lot of water. If that doesn't help, visit your GP and he'll probably prescribe some sort of antibiotic cream or even oral medication for your acne. If you're a female you have those two options plus birth control pills. Beware though, certain birth control pills can aggrivate acne like those containing norgestrel so ask questions before you choose.

Eating a lot of sugary, processed foods isn't doing your skin any favors. Even if it didn't affect you before, it might finally be catching up to you; acne sometimes pops up all of a sudden at different points in your life. Marijuana itself isn't going to cause acne. See how a cleaner diet and more water helps your skin.

I think acne is caused mostly by a gentic predisposition to it and then mostly stress and also toxin buildup and pot could add to stress , toxing buildup as can bad food ...so it may contribute to acne in some people

I'm 17, I know this was a question that somewhat lacked common sense or structure but your question isn't exactly necessary as well, much less an answer... "How old are you...".
So before you try to base my ignorance on my age, you really do have to consider answering the question ^^^^firsthand. Thanks!
