Accent makes me less social. iin?

So I have a pretty unique accent and its noticeable. I'm mixed between Irish/Korean and I spent most of childhood growing up outside of the US. So you can just imagine how weird my accent is. My friends have told me my voice really stands out and strangers have told me its very distinct. I tend to mumble a lot too but I don't know if that's due to my accent. How do you feel about accents? And if you have one, have they affected your ability to socialize in any way?

Silly goose. That's nothing to be ashamed of. I'm so tired of hearing the same accent day in and day out. A few years ago I was being an Australian guy at a coffee shop. Good lord, was that music to my ears.

Embrace what sets you apart, my dear. In this case, it's certainly nothing to feel odd about.

I'm irish and I lived in England for a few years and I became less sociable because I always ended up having to repeat everything twice so I eventually gave up.
