Is it normal that addiction is in my family (my moms and alcoholic, my dad likes to drink, and my sister is addicted to opiates) but I have never been addicted to anything?

    Predispositions such as can skip a generation. So watch out for you kids (if you have any or future ones) and inform them about substance abuse

    My mom hardly drinks my dad drinks. Not addicted though. My 6 brothers drink my sister loves to party. My brother is a alcoholic and coke head. I've done it a few times but never addicted? I also pop pills but I can go forever with out doing anything
