A women to have pound for pound stronger legs then a man

My wife said it is normal for a women to have stronger legs on a pound for pound basis over a man. This is what her gym instructor told her.

My wife has 9in biceps while mine are 15". Her thighs are 24" mine are 21" She can bench press only 65 pounds and I bench press 245. She has been doing squats for the past 4 months. She can squat 205 pounds for a one rep max. Now I have been doing squats for just 3 weeks and I can only squat 175 pounds for a one rep max. I weigh 180 pound while she weighs 140. Is this typical men and women strength differences. Do women have more strength pound for pound is there legs compared to men? She has athletic legs while mine are slim.

  • I have heard that leg muscles are equal in men and women, and that men have the upperhand in the upperbody. (:

Her instructor is wrong. Male and female muscles are exactly the same in upper and lower body. Just males produce more testosterone which eventually leads to more muscle fibers being build. This naturally affects volume and/or density of the muscles depending on the person.

No, its not very normal. Biologically speaking, men are supposed to be physically stronger in every aspect than women. Been that way for thousands of years. Women also have generally more fat and protein content for their young.

Today, studies have shown that women's arm muscles develop faster than men's, while men's leg muscles develop faster. Part of the reason that girls like my ex can bitch-slap through a brick wall, and why pro track runners are usually male. And why dumb blonde bimbos are always being outrun by males in horror movies.

My wife likes my very muscular upper body and say she likes being able to take me in a leg wrestle. As long as I can wear board shorts my legs are not a problem. My wives says her GF's like my body too so my top heaviness is not an issue with women.

i keep telling you...stop bench pressing so much and squat. a 5'0 kid is going to cannon ball into your leg one day and your top heaviness is going to prove distasteful

I don't know about this, but I hear that they can pee farther than men... So never challenge one to a contest--you will fail!
