A thought on shit jobs
This is just a thought that came to me the other day. Do you know how actors say "there are no small parts, only small actors"? Well, I was thinking:
There are no shit jobs, only shit people.
Agree?

There are people who shovel manure for a living. And someone has to clean out bathrooms...those are quite literally shit jobs.
I'm pretty sure that some jobs are legitimately shit but for the most part, yeah, it's about attitude
I wouldn't go so far as to call someone shit for thinking their job is shit, but a shit attitude yeah.
Ha, no, I don't agree. I don't really understand, though. I would actually be over the moon to get a shit job right now, but I don't think I'm a shit person. Anyway, I don't understand saying there are no small parts, or no shit jobs. Some parts ARE small and some jobs ARE shit.
Or does it mean that it's only a shit job if you make it one:S? Like some sort of attitude thing?
Thanks for clarifying. I was thinking you meant more of an ambition thing, which seems to be a commonly held perspective but I don't see it holding up. Even if everyone wanted to be a doctor or lawyer or CEO, someone still has to pump the gas and flip the burgers.
A job is a job is a job. Some jobs are better than others, obviously, but I wouldn't look down on anyone who works for a living, regardless of what it is.
Would this apply to slaves? I have to disagree. There are literally some shit jobs
I'm not going to debunk this because it did make me laugh a lot. Do you mind if I pass it on? I know some other people who'd laugh too.
