A lot of people in here are rude

What level of rude are you talking about?
Are you talking about:

- trolls who intentionally insult to get reactions?
- people who take an IIN post or answer too personally and lash out at the OP or person trying to help?
- the users that are blunt and don't give generic, sugar coated, PC answers?(I don't consider these kinds of users rude, but I've seen others who see them as rude.)

Anyway, I voted normal because there's always going to be rude people on advice websites.

Haha just messin' with ya. Honestly this site is not the worst I've been on - at least the people who are assholes here KNOW they're assholes, and I'm not going to ignore the large chunk of people on here that are nice and have some genuinely great insight.

But yeah I've been on more hostile sites - this is nothing compared. But hey, the things people can do with anonymity, right?

Completely agree. Some people on here will backfire at the most innocent or honest of comments and I find it quite ridiculous. In all honestly, I think human beings are generally angry, bitter things and take it out on people over the internet, thus have no consiquences of acting like a total douche.

You'll probably find hostility on every site though, but I will agree this is one of the more hostile ones I've seen. I've read a lot of posts that offend the hell out of me but I choose not to comment, because I know I'm just gonna be opening up a pandora's box and I don't want to give anyone the satisfaction.

I will say this much though, some of the people on here I've seen give really helpful and decent comments. Some of the rest though, total assholes. I can think of a few usernames I've seen at the top of some irrationally hostile comments but I won't mention any of them here. I guess they know who they are.

Trolls aside, I don't see too much intentional rudeness. Some comments might sound rude but are probably just honest or tactless and the poster has no ill intent. There's only one poster who I definitely notice is purposely mean and if he's as old as he claims to be, he ought to know better.

I've visited this site, maybe a total of 30 times, (give or take) to read, mainly, and I've noticed some people being rude, but I've also noticed people being polite as well.

Get thicker skin. The world isn't all sunshine and rainbows. I suppose it's much safer for you to learn that online.

Admittedly I've been rude in some of my comments, most cases I try to be nice when the post is more serious.
