    One time I was eating a snack bar and when I bit into it, I felt this fuzzy stuff in my mouth. So I spit it out and it was a HUGE ball of blond hair. I peeled apart the rest of the bar with my fingers, and there was even more hair throughout like 2/3rds of the bar...I washed my mouth out with soap like 10 times afterwards BLEH.

    Most of us have probably worked in a restaurant even if only for a short time. Knowing what happens in kitchens I would never return food for any reason. Piss someone off, even your server, and the replacement food could contain anything. Even if I hear yelling that I think might have something to do with my order (e.g., a server telling the kitchen they got an order wrong or forgot something) and I am all out. I ask the server if I might "be excused." They have always said yes. Then I leave. This happens maybe once every five years. If there are a group of us, then I shut up and just eat everything but the "conflict-tainted" portion of the meal. I pity cops; I would never eat anywhere but a buffet or a place known to be decidedly cop friendly if I were a uniformed cop.

      People spit in cop's food where I work, I don't do it but its true. Those guys should be more careful when handing out those bogus tickets, that's like two weeks worth of minimum wage so they can get their quota...

    Put on rubber gloves, take the hair out carefully using sterile tweezers, dump the entire table into a hazardous waste barrel, launch it into the sun, demand a replacement, analyse the hair to find its owner, track down that person, and stuff them in a radioactive vacuum chamber where they'll die a painful death. :)

    If I'm at home and know that the hair is from me, then I take it out and keep eating, I mean, why waste food?
    Now, if I'm out and around strangers and see a hair in my food, then I won't eat it, but thankfully that hasn't happened yet.

    I take the hear out and will kepp eating. But slower and a lot less happy. Keep in mind I wasn't happy to begin with because I'm in a restaurant.
