    Depends how brief it was, and even then you can't really predict what she's thinking.

    Apparently eye contact for at least 3 seconds means that they are attracted. However, I really don't think I could hold eye contact with an attractive stranger for that long. If someone very attractive is looking at me and I happen to glance at them I can't even last a second!

      Well by brief I meant a considerable amount of time for the individual to think something among the things listed. Certainly some people look at others for 3seconds and find them attractive, while others do it for 1 sec, etc.

      What I understood from the 2nd paragraph you wrote is that you would hold eye contact for less than a second if you found someone attractive. Correct?

        I've noticed that if I find someone attractive I stare at them (Well, not in a creepy way I just keep glancing over till he looks my way.) then if he looks up our eyes lock for 2 or 3 seconds (If he's interested) and then I look away and try not to smile. :) Everyone's different though.

        For me I just get this feeling. I could be wrong but I don't think I ever have been.

    Last time I remembered was I was in down. This girl stared at me, then quickl;y looked away. She ended up following me a little, so I was a bit curious, so I walked in to a game shop. She stopped, I said to my brother "...That girl is staring at me". I looked out the door, and she's leaning to look through the door. I smiled at her, then she smiled and looked down. It was quite cute what she done...Or quite creepy, depends. Creepy-cute?

    There are no infallible laws to decode things like that. It depends on the person. Maybe she was imagining having rowdy, ferocious sex with you, or maybe you had chocolate on your face. Maybe she was tripping on shrooms and saw your face transform into a giant peanut. The point is you don't know, psychologists don't know - the only person who knows is her. And possibly her shroom dealer.

    As tempting as it is, my general rule is to never obsess over whether any single incident is meaningful or not. I find that whenever I do that, I lay the grounds for everything she does afterwards until eventually I'm convinced to the point of delusion that this woman is either madly in love with me or despises me. It's becomes like a conspiracy theory. Just play it by ear.
