Imagine a friend (male) of yours starts to IM you a mix soft-core straight (female) and gay (male) images (porn) - let's say at least 20.

How would you react? (You are ... and: )

Background: I wanted to find if a friend of mine (yeah, I've a crush on him) is gay/curious, so I did this and he didn't react in any way (straight guys would probably send something like "go f*** yourself with gay porn and send just chicks"), so I wonder ;-) [note - I'm openly bi, so I just don't care who's in the picture].

Semi-closet means "soft of wanting to get out".

    The porn you watch has nothing to do with your sexuality. Many straight guys watch gay porn, but have no desire to be with a man. I think you should just ask him if he is gay/curious. As for me, I would be ecstatic if one of my friends was comfortable enough to send me porn. I wouldn't care what kind. Good luck and I hope he likes you back. Cheers!

    I would rather not receive any kind of porn (for fear of getting a virus and/or my parents accidentally finding it).
    I would rather have my friend straight up (but casually, and content with rejection if it happens) ask me out. Don't ask him if he is gay/bisexual first (if he says yes, but doesn't want to date you, it makes it all the more uncomfortable... trust me, I would know.)
    I am bisexual, if that makes a difference.
    Try and study his reactions when it comes to gay-related things, to see if he might be gay/bisexual. For example, ask your friend if he heard about how the president of Russia made it legal for police to act violently towards people in gay pride parades. If he agrees with the Russian president, DO NOT ask him out. If he is interested in the topic, or disagrees with the president, then he is gay/bisexual/straight-and-okay-with-gay-people.     I have friend who have offer me porn before so it's not that strange for me (F up, I know but he's still my friend so...) If I sent someone porn n they didn't react it could mean that they, somewhat accepts it and maybe understand your message, since they didn't oppose against it. I would take that as a positive sign, assuming they're still talking to you, and bring up the subject and try to get them talking, you never what can happen :3. Of course some guys are just dense :P.

    Well I am gay and was in the closet for about 30 years (worked construction for 20years). Now if a friend of mine sent me pics like that I was text back, "LOL Why are you sending me these pics." I would be wondering if he was bi or gay. It would probably open up a dialogue between us. Being gay I would be suspious that he might think that I am gay and trying to find out. In that case I would be defensive and probably try and deny it. unless I felt that he was gay or bi. back then though being gay could have gotten you killed.

    Unless you were a good friend, I would find it DISTURBING to receive ANY porn from you - straight or gay.

    AND if you were sending it to my cell phone I'd be rather pissed that you were wasting my minutes.
