A customer tried to force me to go on a date with him

I fixed his glasses free of charge which we do if the glasses were bought at our store. He then asked me out to dinner, and I told him no, I don't date Indians and plus he was not that good looking. He got angry and threatened to tell my manager I was rude to him. I told him okay and gave him a fake number to text me but he knows where I work he can come back any time.

You didn't need to be racist and rude when you didn't want to go out with him. What's wrong with a polite "No thanks"? If he comes back and heavies you, tell your manager, but I doubt very much if he'd want to date you now anyway.

Racist? What the hell does a personal choice have to do with racism? You are hopelessly weak and brainwashed.

I believe a choice based on race is racist and I'm not hopelessly weak or brainwashed, where did you get that idea? Just because we disgree?

A choice based on race is racist? Ok then. Donating blood to people of a specific ethnic background can be done in many cases specifically from people with close ethnicity. That's why they look for donors of colour.

Given your belief, this is racist and must be shut down, which puts their survival at great risk.

Making a choice based on race is also essential in marketing, where they frequently use people of various racial backgrounds to match the colours of the products, thus amplifying the impact and stimulating our senses. We call this capitalism and it saved tons of lives.

According to you, this is also racist and must be shut down.

Biracial marriages face higher risks of congenital malformations, premature birth and stillbirth, have less chances of finding donors for their children if required and the background can have stronger negative impact on kids' health. These are some risks that people can choose to take or not to take. If they already face health problems, a biracial offspring can boost the problems even more in their family. People have the right to choose if they want or not to face such risks. We call this, freedom and it came with democracy.

          https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2867623/

According to you, this is bad and must be prevented. In the modern history, fascism is what made this happen effectively.

This is why you are brainwashed. Because you don't understand that people have liberties and rights to speak, to think, to act. And they can choose to do so from a range of options, including race and ethnicity. Restricting this range to YOUR preferred options is contradicting the notion of freedom and you are brainwashed because you try to restrict our freedoms while believing that you go towards a progressive direction. And you are weak because you buy low-quality content from the society and reinforce it on people without judging first. That's what weak people do. There is no such thing as freedom of speech, but don't say what I dislike to hear, freedom of choice, but don't make it based on race, freedom of act, but don't act against my interest. That must answer your question.

it is not in the same context. of course you need people who are compatible to help with certain medical problems for people, but making a conscious thought against someone because they are this ethnic group or that color is actually racist. of course, not that the author should have said it, but people have preferences of who they are attracted to and it does not mean that they are really racist in my opinion.

Did I say OP should be forced to go out with someone she doesn't want to? Settle down, I was just exercising my freedom of speech to express my opinion.

You said she should stop rejecting men based on race because that's racist. And your opinion of racism is totally nonsensical. She has the right to reject an indian based on his skin colour any time she wants and it's none of your business. White women dating dark dudes is disgusting as well because they have lower IQ and increased violence in behaviour and she made her choice of staying away from such perils. You are not entitled to tell her anything about her choices. Her choice can be based on race and nationality and you have no right to tell her that she shouldn't do so. Furthermore, instead of defending women who are at risk because of these menaces to society, your first thought is that people shouldn't be racist. This only proves once again how ignorant and weak and pathetic you are, failing to defend innocent people. A bastardized nation is facing collapse and America is living it as we speak, with the white population becoming a minority in several cities and not only. White people, think again of what you do.

You shouldn't be racist and insult your customer like that but he shouldn't force you to date him.

It's not racist if you aren't attracted to certain people. You can't force people to like you.

You did well avoiding such low-quality people. You should use more protection if it happens again. Please protect yourself and do not stand back. Get authorities to help if it escalates.

You the guy with the girl who send 169,000 texts?. 😂

  • Well, you rejected him pretty harshly, but I don't think him going as far as threatening to tell your manager was normal.

Did he actually threaten you into giving a number, or did you just give it as a peace offering?

I voted "Not normal" for the both of you.

threatening to tell a manager is not that great of a threat anyway. everyone needs a job, but i mean i deem a threat as much more.

He might ask you for a date, and you have every right to refuse him. But he has no right to get angry if you say no, if he tries to force you or anything just tell the cops!

he was angry not because she said no, but because of her saying that she did not want to be with him because he was an indian and that he did not look good in the first place. it is not right to say those things. people have enough problems fearing rejection even though i would not call the comments racist.

Inform your manager that this happened in case he does come back. I doubt that he would come back but it’s good to have this on record just in case
