A call to the zoo

One time when I was a freshman in high school in my history class this alpha male type of guy, John, made a remark that reading was for "pussies" and "girls" and also began spewing out misogynist ideologies (can't recall precisely what they were). I became angry with him and made a retort of epic proportions. He proceeded to threaten me with a violent confrontation after class. I avoided him, and when I got home that night I called the a zoo in my area and reported to them that I had ventured upon an ape. I gave them the address of the macho guy. The next day he looked so humiliated haha! So was what I did normal or what?
