I signed up on Tinder a while back for fun and maybe new friends, then I matched with this 23 yr old guy. He started the conversation and we've been talking for a couple days now. We've mostly talked about stuff like music and future dreams but then he asked me whether if I had been in a relationship or had sex before, I said "No, that stuff seems so far away right now" and he said "I can teach you :)". I changed the subject and we continued talking about other stuff, but I still feel a bit weird about him. He seems to have his life together, works as a manager at a tech company and all, and I basically have nothing figured out, and I'm not very attractive either. I just don't know why he would choose me out of all the endless options for him. I might add he's very attractive and well-spoken, and I'd very much like to get into a relationship with him. But it just doesn't make much sense.

    He wants to be your first, then he’ll disappear. Tinder is a hookup site for casual sex without the commitment of a relationship. Do yourself a favor and get a bf in school.

    Depends. It's only sex? Perfectly legal (at least in my country) but not normal (but who cares). It's something more? Are you pretty mature? If not it's kinda creepy. I once met a 14 yo girl. She was dating with a 23 yo guy and dating with 16 yo me at the same time. I ran like a mother fucker.

    Maybe you have a sparkling personality and your interests mesh perfectly with the guy's.

    More likely, the answer is very simple: he's 23; you're 16.

    Any 23 year-old man who's interested in a 16 year-old girl is creepy. At your ages, that's a huge difference in emotional maturity and life experiences. He's either got a kink for very young and naïve girls, or he's developmentally stunted. Any truly successful and together 23 year-old man will have no problems finding women his own age to date.

    You say you want to be in a relationship with him. I suggest to you that he's been seducing you, and that's why you feel this way. The person you believe him to be is very likely nothing at all like the person he really is.

    Walk away. You'll meet nice 23 year-old guys when you're 23 years old. The supply is not drying up.

    Any grown man that has the age below 18 in his tinder search is by default a pedo. Someone needs to teach this guy the "half your age +7" rule or he will end up in prison sooner than later.

      Not really. In the USA, federal law puts the age of consent at 12, while all states enforce an age of consent somewhere between 16-18.
      That’s why most pedos go to state and not federal prison.
