It depends how you look at it. If you see it as something funny (which I do), it can even endear you to a person. Plus it's like a milestone in a relationship. First time you kiss, first time you say "I love you", first time you're comfortable enough to expel noxious gases from your rectal cavity.

The fart is to declare dominance over the female. It is a sign that you are now her protector, and this act should therefore be respected as such.

What's romantic about a fart? Becoming less self conscious about normal bodily functions is one thing. But elevating farts to some benchmark of intimacy is just being coarse if not juvenile. There's still such a thing as manners, courtesy and respect for your partner.

I do not mind one bit if women fart around me. It is a natural bodily function that women need to do as well. I actually would rather any woman with gas that was around me just farted as I do not want her getting sick, having a sore or bloated tummy or feeling uncomfortable for not letting out what is normal for her to be doing in the first place.

I am one of those girls that don't like the idea of farting/burping in front of anyone so I find it gross and frankly disrespectful when others do it in front of me. My boyfriend farted in front of me ones and while it didn't end our relationship, I definitely like him less then and it kind of went on the list of things I didn't like about him. lol.

I don't think it's romantic at all. It's Rather rude and disgusting despite being a essential part of a humans digestive system. I think it's better to either attempt to hold it in or go to the loo, lock the the door, and proceed to relive thyself.

A "nice" example, would be in Sex and the City where in which, Carrie is having sex with Mr. Big and releases wind from down under. The mood is ruined and the relationship nearly too. But all is forgiven later on when Mr. Big is married and Carrie is dating a pottery man, but screw that as they end up having an affair! I guess "love" does conquer all even gas.

I was once told "Never trust someone who doesn't fart in front of you. If they can hide that, who knows what else they're hiding"! Made me laugh, but it is kind of true!

I was the 1st one to fart in my relationship :P I don't think farting is rude, but when i'm around people I don't know, I'm careful. idk what it's like from a girls perspective when a guy farts, i've always farted in front of girls because i'm not going to go out of my way to walk away to do something so natural that everyone does, but that is what girls do, so i've only ever heard one girl fart in front of me, and i would never be in a relationship with her because of it. it was so strange and weird and i was shocked, but when a guy farts in front of me i don't think anything of it
