(title is too long) question about relationships

So, I've been friends with this person since grade six, and a little over a week ago, we confessed our feelings for each other, and we became a couple. Before this, we were extremely cuddley and held hands and all that, so I'm finding it hard to really adjust to the idea that this is actually real. I've liked them for so god damn long and I love them so much, (and we tell each other that regularly, and we did before we got together too), and I'm so happy to be with them. I just can't comprehend that this is real, and I keep thinking that I'm moving too fast, but whenever I ask them that, they say I'm not and that it's fine. We haven't kissed, or gone on an official date because of... reasons. (We're both biologically female and I'm not out as a trans guy and they're not out as non-binary, but the point is, we'd be seen as lesbians and to our parents we're both straight girls) And it sucks because we both want to be open with it. OKAY I'M GETTING OFF TRACK. The question is, is it normal to not feel like the relationship is real yet, even though we're both really happy it happened?
