Does this statement feel true or false to you?

I personally feel this is mostly true. If you tell someone that they need a life, it is usually because you feel that your life may not be so normal either. One who does have a life usually respects other peoples' hobbies and jobs, regardless of how silly they may be.

But regardless of what you think, please explain in the comments! :)

    False.

    Some people need a wake-up call that their behavior is being stupid and overdramatic.

    However it's common to assume that the person saying "get a life" has no life. Insulting back is easier than listening to the truth, especially when the truth bruises an ego.

    Yea. Any time anyone else sticks their negative nose into another's life, whether it's an insult, a derogatory comment, a judgement, it says substantially more about the accuser than the accused.

      I really agree.. there's actually a study that shows correlation between how much someone tries to bring down others and the way they view themselves. people with high self esteem don't usually try to cut others down

    it sounds so silly when people say "get a life" so i answer with "you get a life"
    if they say "you look tired" i say "so do you" etc. i like to take a mature approach

    You are just sensitive since you have no life and you do not,want anyone else to have one. Some people live with parents thier whole just to take care of thier parents. Some live with them since economy sucks abd can not find work. They are going to tell anyone lucky enough to have the option to leave and get thier own life since they know they can not but if possible might. If someone is going to say they take advatage of underage school girls since tgey can not score chicks own age. They do need a life. I guessing you are a two bit loser to move out of parents house.

    When people say get a life to people, they should only say that to people who don't actually have a life. For example someone who stays home all day living in a trailer park with no job and like 8 kids.
    Not to people who actually have a life.
    That's so annoying.

    I mean, really, what does that mean? Some people don't have happy lives. People got problems.

    Most people are reasonably happy, no one is really living a really awesome life. Somtimes people just get on a high.
