I seriously need to know if I am normal, because everyone I've told about my problem thinks it's a joke.
"Movin' On Up" by The Jeffersons has been playing in my head ever since I very first saw the show on Nick at Nite. That was 14 years ago. It continuously plays, without interruption, all day and all night. It has been haunting me for as long as I can remember. I doubt this goddamn song will ever leave me.

    You're probably making fun of me because it happens to me. I have memorized some of the most worthless information like the theme from Mary Tyler Moore, The Love Boat, The Courtship of Eddie's Father. For months I have a song from the movie the Wiz play over and over in my head "Sweet thing let me tell you 'bout the world and the way things areeee. You've come from a different place and I know you traveled fareeee.

    Pumped up kicks can play in peoples heads due to the beat.

    i had this same thing happen to me with the song "be my lover" by La Bouche. For 3 years anytime that i was bored or alone or just spacing out i would hear "la da di da dada dada". I understand that 3 years isn't even close to 14, but let me tell you...I FEEL YOUR PAIN! You have to hang in there because one day it just disappeared. As if it was never even a part of my life. For a long time after i got it out of my head i was nervous to even talk about it, fearing that it would get back in there and that i would go to my grave humming la bouche. But, its been 3 years now and i can talk about it, sing it and even laugh about it. so, you have to just hold out and have faith that one day you will be brushing your teeth and you will realize that you are NOT humming "movin' on up". god speed.
