Difficult to say without knowing what drugs you were doing.

yes its normal but you're on the good road my friend. :) ive been there and it took me long to get over it but you know we all gotta grow up and stop doing these things that harm us. i still think about it sometimes and get the urges when i see someone else do it but im never going back there. i hope you find something or someone that will make you feel better. i found a great guy who helped me through with it. :) best of luck

Sober life sucks but only once you've got into the hard shit... Weed is easy to quit its just like a 3 day hump, but the other stuff, f*** man not worth it... Being straight is ok but most of the time shit just seems boring and its easy to find a way to make it better. Just dont, seriously it just gets harder to stop the longer you do it... Its a creeper bro and before you know its got you by the balls... Gotta say there good, f***ing good, the best, just stay away...

Got hooked on prescription pain meds after surgery. After spending a small fortune on them, i quit cold turkey 2 years ago. Sorry, but once addicted, always addicted. Not a day goes by that I dont crave the pills. In my opinion, you will never feel that good again, but going back to using is not gonna make life better. You and I are screwed, just live the best life possible WITHOUT DRUGS!!!

Getting off any illicit substance is hard. The amount of dependence you had on them in order to have a good time will certainly effect how you feel when you no longer use them. Give yourself some credit. Things will get better.

what drugs wasnt i doing would be a better question lol. I was into the main party substances, alcohol, ecstacy, ketamine, mkat, weed, speed, cocaine.... 2 or three day sessions were not uncommon... starting to feel better now, but MAN is sober life boring.

It is very normal. Most drugs do irreparable damage to your brain. You may need to see someone, a doctor.
