is this normal about my boyfriend

my boyfriend cannot fall sleep without me in his arms and I always have to say I love you before we sleep. we have been with one another a few years now. and he has to hold me tight. he will say he loves it when I am in his arms or he is in mine day or night. he says he feels safe and worm + loved and he feels whole. is this all normal?
don't get me wrong there is no place better then being in my mans arms I love him more then anything. he is 23 and I am 21.

My boyfriend does the same thing. We've only been together for a year, but I love it!! It makes me feel the same way he says he feels. I think we are very lucky that we have men that love us so much.

    I'm a human sexuality educator.

(You didn't state your gender and I don't want to be heterosexist and just assume you are a woman, but I'll give some knowledge I've studied recently.)

Many sociologists agree that men and women fall in love in different ways. Women fall in love more frequently, but men fall in love faster and harder when in happens. In turn, men are more likely to fall apart if a break up occurs. Women might cry or become depressed, but men are more likely to take the extremes, especially when they've been broken up with after a long relationship. They are more likely to become severely depressed, uninterested in eating, sleeping, etc, and are more likely to stalk there ex's, or even contemplate suicide.

So from a sociological perspective, it's normal. But if you ever get annoyed by it, you have to be honest with him. That's just my own personal advice.

Sounds like marriage time! Unless that sort of closeness bothers you.. then I would hightail it out of there and look for someone less serious.

I feel you jinxed yourself. My gf always hate that I technically hug myself when I sleep. I'm naturally always hot, and grew up a single child and still a loner. Cuddling is actually very VERY unnatural to me. we love each other and get along but when i comprise, I literally do not sleep.

That's actually how I ended up finding this website. just like to night. I have been up for two days because I wanted her to be comfortable while sleeping. I, for some insane reason can't sleep during the day. Well, not a good sleep.
