is it normal i hate the racist who call everyone racist?

We all know some people are obvious racists. They will go around saying "I hate (insert color) people" and making racist joke and mean it. Along with this we have the Denial racists. The ones who are in such denial that they are racist that they will call anyone racist for anything. If you say "I have a black uncle" they will attack you. If the cops ask "What did the perpetrator look like" They will say that it is rude to mention the race. If you are having a argument with someone who is a different color they will blame you disagreeing on the color of the other person skin. Stop tossing it at us because you feel bad about yourselves.

The people who cry "Racist! You're racist!" to even the slightest thing are sooooo freaking annoying. Like you said, if you disagree with someone, and they're like "It's because I'm (insert race here), isn't it?" it just ticks me off. Newsflash: you're not helping the anti-racism cause by constantly shouting "Racist!" all the time.

Talking about race in this country, especially towards ethnically diverse people, it very taboo.

Even when you are being technical, as a white person, it is difficult to discuss racial issues without SOMEONE seeing you as a racist. I think that we should have a more open forum for racial issues because so long as there is such a wide taboo, nothing will get done about these matters.

    • I know what you mean. I find it annoying. I wish people would relax. I mean unless someone is being a nazi and saying "Lets kill all blacks" or something along those lines I do not see why they need to be picked on. It angers me that they do.

If somebody thinks you're racist every time you discuss race, you might want to reevaluate your world view.

        Uhh...
I have never been accused of being racist. =/ But thanks for the advice. I can somewhat agree with you but at the same time I think it depends on the audience you're addressing every time you DO talk about racial relations, plus your method of doing it. One can be perfectly neutral as far as their personal feelings of race goes but a poorly worded statement regarding racial relations can turn their statement into one that can be interpreted as racism.

I didn't mean you specifically. I use "you" to refer to hypothetical people, much like "one".

You can definitely be racist without being a screaming KKK member, but yeah, a lot of people have their racism-detectors turned up way too high and set to "kill". It tends to ruin their own lives, honestly, because they get into this mentality where they think they're constantly under attack. They can't get free from it.

This post made me think. I guess I have kind of weird views on racism. I hate prejudice of any kind and tend to get physically sick thinking about it too much, but at the same time, the more logical side of my brain is going, "Isn't it just, y'know, another character flaw that some people need to work on, like anything else? Like being too cocky or insensitive or annoying or not really knowing when to shut up?" That is, I think maybe if the accusation of *being* racist wasn't treated like a death knell to one's character, people would have an easier time getting over being racist in the first place. Because it's a lot easier to admit something, and thus be able to deal with it, if there's not huge amounts of social shame bearing down on people who are that thing.

I tend to crush people with my debating shoe if they imply something which quite clearly is not racist is racist (and they are doing so in all seriousness).

Otherwise I don't encounter many people like this so it's not particularly aggravating for me.

It seems to me that you are manifesting your rage on this website. It is common for people to have minor anger management problems.

    Your story is shit.

    • I am not manifesting anything. I am simply stating a fact. It is under pet peeve if you did not get that. So I am sorry you are so upset that we have opinions. It says we are allowed to speak our opinion. Do you own this website? I will not stand for your Tyranny. You are not our god and if you think so try saying that to my rear end you cunt.
