I'm male, 19 and my name is currently Ben (not Benjamin, just "Ben" legally) and I want to change it to Sebastian (Ben is mega common name in my age group and country) Thax Peeps :)

    Also! I'm sorry. I don't like being mean like all these mean twits and I hope this comes off just honest. Ben is such a blah name. Sebastian is a unique sophisticated name.. No one will forget you if your name is Sebastian. But if your Ben you will be confused with the 20000 other men in your hometown. LOL

    Sebastian is a way cooler name. it is also a unique name. i only ever knew one guy with that name my entire life. and he was a really cool awesome guy. i am sure you are too! especially if you want to chance your name. change it to Sebastian! ben is too common and too many losers are named Ben

    Sebastian is good if youre English but its a bit pretentious for an American. Also whats a nickname, Sebbie? Meh.
    IM not a fan of Ben but theres nothing wrong with it its just my opinion.
    All in all, Id keep Ben.

    I've always liked the name Benjamin, or its shorter form Ben. Still, Sebastian is a nice name. I hope you'll keep the name, though, despite it being common in your area.

    I have always absolutely loved the names Ben and Sebastian :P I'm kind of torn between the two...I don't think you should change your name if you already have such an awsome one anyway ;) but hey, if you must because it's so common...then Sebastian is a fantastic option :)

    Sebastian would seem like a cool name to someone who likes romance and long walks on a moonlit beach. It's also not really that unique. It's also sort of feminine.

    Ben seems like an honest, good-guy sort of name.

    If you want a unique name, go with something that's not used in popular teenage books and graphic novels.

    It depends on where you're from...In California there are about 20,000 babies with the name Sebastian. I equate it to an infant. Ben is way better. If you're gay, Sebastian would work though:)
