90% of the time it's "I have a boyfriend" even if it's not true. That seems to be the go to move. Though I'm not the type to approach a stranger. I usually hook up with girls who are mutual acquaintances. Just because I have a better chance of not getting rejected. Rejection hurts, especially when you already have low self-esteem.
Making up an excuse is pretty much lying to me, I guess a lot of you girls have trouble being honest?
When guys below my standards ask me out I just say that I'm not ready for a relationship and have a lot of stuff going on right now. LOL!

it really depends on the guy. I'm older (35) and I get hit on by YOUNG guys, like 20, and even younger. They think purely looks and the reason I have to let them down is that they're so clueless and they are thinking it only has to do with looks, so I have to try to explain to them it's not because I think they're ugly but they're just too young, and they try to say that age is just a number.. but anyway, my point is that it depends on WHO I'm rejecting. There are different situations. But normally I try to be up front and honest. I've also come across dudes with too much emotional baggage and after they're trying to go out with me and I"ve been busy they automatically are rude to me and tell me to fuck off and die out of nowhwere because they want to reject me before I reject them.. I recognize the psychology there. It can be hard, but I'm not mean because I know they have feelings. I usually like to be honest, but to let them down gently, I will say I have a bf, and if they don't care that I have a bf and want to be the dude on the side I don't have much sympathy for them, because in that case they're douche bags.
Well depends why I am rejecting them. If it is because I am not attracted to them, I will make an excuse and leave. If I am attracted to them but I don't see it working due to different lifestlye ect then I will be honest

well I usually don't get hit on being I'm 8 months pregnant lol, but before that down here in Alabama all I had to do what tell them I'm not christian or I listen to heavy metal and they usually go away. lol but if that don't work I tell them to fuck off before I break their nose. and if that don't work I'd punch them in the nose. Yes there are a few guys that never pick up on a hint, and they just won't go away so I punch them but I give them a warning first.
