I feel like there is a lack of respect.
I'd rather you pay attention to what I am saying rather than my body.

But if it's just some random guy, it's uncomfortable.

right out staring is just tacky and sleazy. There are ways to get checked out though that doesnt make the guys come across as sleazy.
Its flattering I suppose but if it goes on for too long then it starts to be awkward and uncomfortable. And it starts to get freaky.

I think its flattering, BUT depends on the situation.. If its a quick glance, and a cheeky smile my way, I think its fine and cute, but if its a full out disgusting sleazy, wont stop staring, perve, then I think its off putting.
It's perfectly fine to me! They are just doing what comes natural. The only time I found it creepy was when this thirteen year old was checking me out at an arcade.
I find it flattering if it's a sweet guy, if it's not I make it amusing by giving him 'the look' and then staring at his crotch while we talk about the weather or whatever ;) it makes me giggle and makes the situation silly :P
Depends. I don't like feeling like a object and I get some pretty creepy men attracted to me aswell as good looking ones.
If I don't find the person attractive I find it very uncomfortable.

Yes. I am desirable and I have a pretty face, great breasts, etcetera. But, I don't like being stared at b/c I find the behavior to be boorish,intrusive, and rude. If I am interested, I will catch his eye and we can have some fun... If I am not looking at him, that should be his cue to fuck off and to leave me alone. Most of these jerks, however, never seem to mind that their staring is one-sided.

I have mixed feelings...sometimes I like it other times I feel like an object.

And in Latin America they welcome it; the TV shows have as much nudity as they can get away with, and it's not unheard of to have dance parties IRL in swimsuits (both sexes). So why is this country so puritanical??

i'd say it has more to do about the vibe i get from the guy.. Some guys are hella creepy.. and that can be downright disturbing. But if a guy is just admiring what he thinks is pleasant to look at, as long as he's not gawking.
