The Welsh translation of ironing board is "bord smwddio" pronounced "board smoothio". Cracks me up every time.

Aww, thank you. I just think the world is an intrinsically funny place. And the Welsh are funnier than most. Welsh slang for a microwave is "bippety bong" after the noise it makes when the time is up.

Ahh, I'm not a native speaker. I just pick up bits of conversational Welsh from family and friends. I can't spell most of it. And some goes right over my head. Which isn't surprising in a language that has words like Blaenoriaethau and Ymgyngoriadau. It sounds nice, though:
