awkward for women to watch movies with nudity with men in the room?

Whenever I watch a movie that has a sex scene or nudity(obviously female nudity), with some of my guy friends, or even just with my dad there I kind of sense that the girls in the room are uncomfortable. Is that just a mental thing for me, or is it actually kind of weird for the ladies? For guys, do you ever get that feeling?

    You think only females do this? Males do this in the presence of women aswell.

    I feel awkward if the sex scene is really long & features a woman and a donkey. Then I excuse myself & let my Gramma continue watching her movie.

    Nope any sex scene pretty much with anyone is awkward for me, sex is like private. I was just always taught to keep your privates to yourself. Only the boyfriend can see that, so when I watch those "scenes" with family..it is awkward LOL.

    Yeah it's pretty awkward. The most awkward scene so far watching with a guy is the rape scene in the girl with the dragon tattoo. no bueno.

    If you are watching a movie with nudity, you know this going in. If others are in the room, they probably know what males and females look like. So, why would you find this awkward or uncomfortable?

    I feel like that when it's my mother. She watches Game of Thrones with me sometimes. I had to explain that Cersei and Jaime were siblings.... But at least they weren't mother and son.

    Yeah, I find it kind of awkward. Being shown something that has been shot intentionally to try and arouse you can be awkward in mixed sex company. It wouldn't be the same if it was comical or something though, and it wouldn't always bother me, just sometimes.

    hm, never occured to me to feel uncomfortable...i can see that happen, but never was awkward for me, only if i was horny for some reason and the scene fueled some daydream, then got caught spacing out.

    I try to hold my piece but now that I think about it, sex on TV with anyone else in the room makes me feel awkward. I haven't the slightest idea why because I have plenty of it and I talk of it pretty freely.

    I'm a female and I find it awkward, but I honestly feel awkward about any nudity on screen regardless of my sex. Mostly though, it's cause I watch movies with my family.
