Well as a goth girl I wouldn't date a guy that's not like me. and my none of my guy friends would have dated a girl like you. I'm not saying you can't get a guy like that because I'm sure you might be able too...... every guy is different so just keep you head up and just try talking to a few guys that catch your eye you will find one that likes you ^_^

1. 5' 3" for a girl is great. most guys who are average (5' 9")-really tall (maybe 6' 5") like shorter girls. im 6' 1" and i like girls who are just above my shoulder height. i dont like my woman being as almost as tall/as tall/ or taller than me. thats weeeiiiird

2. there is one thing you should know about guys (and i get this knowledge from myself and all the males ive known through out my life). we will go out with any chick we find attractive no matter what style of dress. and a cute little hipster, skinny jean wearing chick sounds great to me as long as shes not an annoying bitch.

3. being bi is a plus. we want to have threesome and if thats a possibility he will be happy.

and lastly. dont assume all these faggy goth dudes are all dark and mysterious and bullshit like that. 99%% of them are going through a phase and will grow out of it. and they never get laid by any chick with confidence in herself, so they are all akward and lame.

Girl, you never know what you might find. I say get to know some of the goth guys you are attracted to then zero in on one. Make sure he likes girls. Also, he could be a virgin or very inexperienced, so be prepared for that.

I wish I knew you and was young enough to be your boyfriend. I would do it again at the possibility of having that openminded and accepting female with me to go thru the ups and downs and the question and answers of it all. You will make some guy very happy someday, but you have to be able to talk to someone about what you really like in order to find what you really like. If they think your weird, they are not worth being your friend. I had friends find out by accident about me being a crossdresser and most of them treated me the same. The others I lost contact with or am no longer friends with them. In high school, it does not matter who or what you are. No one gives a shit afterward anyway. Also, no one can tell you what or who you are attracted to so it is not unusual to be attracted to feminine looking guys. Besides, there are more cross dressing guys out there than you think :) they would be more than happy to be with you. I am a cross dresser and have photos of myself in my feminine clothes if you are interested.

There's nothing wrong or weird about how you feel. You don't have to date within your 'subculture' - especially considering that subcultures don't really mean much nowadays.

I'm similar to you, except for the other side: I'm a bit of a 'goth' girl (though I'm more Haute Macabre than leather & chains) and I really like indie hipster dudes with glasses and facial hair. Nothing wrong with that! In fact, there tends to be a bit of musical overlap as well. :)

This in mind, it's much easier to date within your subculture. I've been part of the goth scene and they tend to be a bit of a close minded and often pompous bunch. While, a lot of the androgynous looking goth dudes ARE straight or bi, many of them will probably avoid or look down on you if you look a hipster. It seems stupid, but it's true - so your chances really are limited. :/

If you're really obsessed with snagging an effeminate goth dude, I'd suggest going to a club if/when you're old enough.
