I take adderall(not prescribed),when I can get it, to help me through school and it also makes me feel damn good. Btw, if you're gonna say I shouldnt be doing it, just fuck off lol. Anyways, I know it sounds weird, but I've realized that when I'm on it, I seem to look better. More color comes to my face and my eyes get brighter. So I was just wondering if there is an actual reason adderall makes me look so..different than usual?

    Adderal is a stimulant, very similar to street "speed" because it's a methamphetamine. Apart from waking up the mind and making you feel alert and focused, your body wakes up as well. Blood flow can increase when you're feeling "peppy" and bring about a glow like you described.

    A lot of people claim to feel more confident when on adderal, due to a variety of reasons. Most common is that when you can sort everything out in an organized fashion in your mind, you're more sure you're doing things the right way. Confidence REALLY SHOWS physically. You can't help it, but your body will reflect your mood. You probably just *feel* prettier, and when you feel prettier- you actually do LOOK prettier.

    But be careful about taking it non-prescription. :) Not a huge risk, but if you ever read Harry Potter, my friends and I always joke that Adderal = Felix Felicis! Take it when you need that extra boost, but taking it too much can be bad!

    You take ADHD tablets that you can ONLY get by doctors prescription.
    If you have ADHD keep taking them.
    If their not 'prescribed' (as you said) to you, then who has this ADHD in your family?

    Taking tablets not prescribed to you can cause mental and physical damage. Try a milk shake instead, its calming and healthy all at the same time.

      People sell me adderal because they're diagnosed with ADHD, but really no one has ADHD, its just a way for kids to get drugs and for parents to not have to deal with their fidgety kids the right way.

          Well Dad, as a youngster that has bought and sold ADHD meds i can tell you that there's a variety of different uses for them.

          Their mostly recreational(as im sure you guessed), however i did have many people come to me looking for a way to increase concentration, help them study, or simply motivate them to clean the house and do their chores.

          There wouldnt be a black market of children selling drugs if you could get them legally! We should remember that.

      Kids probably sell them in school. When I was in high school kids were selling their anti-depressants to other kids.

    I used to take them a few years back in college too. Chewed em up, kinda sweet. If you don't have a ADD or ADHD it's kinda like doin coke but last alot longer and is much less expensive. It alters your state of mind so I can see how you might feel especially beautiful. I used to get horny as fuck. I had an apartment with the gf. She took it too. We would study a little bit and inevitably end up fucking for hours.

    Aderal is a drug that is used for ADHD. There is no way it makes you prettier. You probably feel like that because it gets you high and you get more alert.

    Well congrats, you're one of the people who make it harder for people who actually have ADHD to get the medication. I agree with whoever said it makes you THINK you're prettier because you're high. Hell, you don't even know how to spell the medication right. I'm a pharmacy tech and this is one of my pet peeves.

      As the one who's usually defending cannabis on here, this is going to be a bit out of character, but I agree with you on this one.

      In a big part because many of the people taking Adderall dont realize IT IS ESSENTIALLY SPEED. Makes me wonder if they ever read the tiny text on the capsule. Amphetamine salts.

      Im in college and I wont judge when my friends get it for their finals, I understand why they do it even though I dont partake.

      One time one of my friends gave me concerta but didnt tell me thats what it was, he said it was like a caffiene pill. Amphetamine psychosis = not fun.

          It is still chemically similar to amphetamines and still causes psychosis, I know it's not the same thing. My school scared my parents into putting me on ritalin, took me a long time to get them to realise how much worse it made me.

              Well I'm glad it worked out for you. :) It's so difficult to diagnose a young child with ADHD, mistakes like that happen pretty frequently, from what I've seen in forums.

              I think medication can be a fantastic thing if it's right for you, but it is hard to get it right. Psychology is a tricky science.

              But I don't think it should be so common to medicate children who are still developing. Wouldn't it be better, if they were having problems, to put them through coaching or some form of behavioral therapy before turning to drugs? Haha, sorry for the rant. :P

        Or maybe i just graduated with a bachelor's degree in microbiology and deciding whether to go for my masters degree or pharmacy school because wow i got accepted for both. I love claims like this on the internet. OMG you're soo right! It couldn't POSSIBLY be that I'm a pharmacy tech working my way through my undergrad degree...that's just too long of a stretch eh?

      it's not hard for people with ADHD to get drugs. Hell, I know a lot of people that have a script to both speed and benzos and i don't think they really have debilitating ADHD or anxiety. state approved drug dealers hand that stuff out to anyone who can afford the copay.

        It's not hard to get prescription, no, but there are shortages of ritalin and adderall regularly in the US. So yes, people getting it when they don't need it does make it difficult for those of us who need it to get their medication.

    Its a little blue pill right?
    I used to take this and it gave me some fucked up symptoms. I never felt good on it. I take superbenedryl and it makes me feel awesome!!!!
