Yeah Barnum, I am one of those guys that suffers from road rage, I get extremely pissed when somebody pulls out in front of me, but the one that really gets my temper flaring is when some Aussie moron talegates me, I get so damn mad that I could literally slam on my brakes and when he hits my car just get out go drag him out of his car and stick my foot up his reamed out asshole!

I know I need to curb my anger.

I hate morons trhat decide to ride bikes in the road, I hope that steel on wheels crushes them, for fucks sake get up early and walk, Cyclists kill many people indirectly, cause many accidents and don't make the world a 'greener' place. Get a fucking bus.

btw, impatient driving is a cultural one common to many places but also notably absent in the netherlands or at least in amsterdam.

I was there recently and noticed that the drivers are much more tolerant then in other places i have been to. Cars, bikes, motorcycles, mopeds, buses and trams all peacefully travel on the same streets and you almost never even hear a horn honk. even the cab drivers do not lose their temper. maybe its the semi-legal hashish. I don't know.

I have horrible road rage(but I also have anger problems), but I've been trying to work on it...i think I'm doing better lol

The problem with roadrage is bad drivers! If there are no bad drivers, there would be no roadrage! But since the streets are full with ricers, teenage girls in french hatchbacks and elderly people in Volvos, and arrogant bus drivers, the rest of us, who can drive, can't get to where we are going. So we get angry (very angry). I don't mind waiting a bit, or driving a tiny bit slower. But when the car in front of me is driving 20kph bellow the limit, I blow my horn and pass them (while blowing horn).
And it's not just cars. Even bikes. Whenever I cycle, I see a ton of idiot cyclists too!

Totally get it, you said it in such a way that fits my problem with today's drivers... what really cracks me up is when this person is riding your tail,flailing their arms around, they pass you and are in a no passing zone, and they hit a red light, totally REDUNDANT! LOL

I'm not kidding in any way here:
I CAN'T STAND BICYCLISTS! I'm not even a driver. I'm a pedestrian. I walk everywhere and maybe once or twice a month hop on a bus or a taxi. Bicyclists think they're all high and mighty doing the earth a favor and look down their nose on drivers and in the mean time act like they own the road when it comes to pedestrians. I guess they're just paying forward on the treatment they get from drivers. So self righteous. Well, here's MY self righteous statement: It's not my (the pedestrian) fault that you douches are too pussy to get around on your own two feet. if you TRULY weren't in a hurry, you'd walk like me. take in the sights and sounds and never even have to worry about traffic laws ever again, let alone flats or getting honked at. You'd only have to worry about dickhead bicyclists feeling like king shit on their pedals.

Hey my transportation is a bike too! (not because I want it to be though, just because I'm too poor and can't get a job to afford a car) but when I'm riding in my girlfriend's car, she gets angry and flips off drivers too! I'm like geez! She even told me that when she'd be in the car riding with her ex, he wouldn't notice or pay attention to someone's mistake and she would lean over and honk the horn and yell at the other car for him lol.

find some good music to listen to in the car. it may SAVE your LIFE, and somebody else's...

I think a lot of people used to be ragers and overcame it. I sure did.

I used to think it was one of those non-adaptive male homrmone things, until I started seeing women do it.

Now I just think it's stupid -- thankfully also a condition that some of us out grow.

i don't have a road rage problem, I think it all comes down to the individual, they are probably the ones stressed from work or something, and bitching at people on the road just begins the breaking point of their lives. Who really knows? I know I would never date a guy who yelled at people while driving around.

The only time I have ever got really mad while driving is when a guy made a gesture with his hand and tounge that basically said "I want to give you oral" I freaked. It pissed me off so bad I flew by them and flipped the bird while never looking at them, and then the guy acted like he was still "into me", and wanted me to approach them, but I guess the driver wasn't into it, because he kept trying to get away from me while the pervert passenger yelled at him. HAHa what losers! I bet I would have recognized the driver, maybe that's why he was trying to get away.

I applaud you for riding your bike everywhere you go not only are you saving a pile of money on gas, but you are improving your health. Good for you!!

The problem is the roads arent big enough to carry all the traffic and people should leave them selves more time to get where they are going too
