11.11 am/pm

Its seems an odd thing, but the amount of times i have looked at the clock/watch etc over the last 15 years and the time has read 11.11 seems too much of a coincidence.
I remember in my early teens watching an episonde of "The Young Ones" and one of the guest bands sang a song called "Eleven Past Eleven" It was an average song at best but i just realised the other day that i always seems to be checking the time and it is exacxtly 11.11. Now i know this can only technically happen twice a day, but factoring in that everyones clocks/watches are mildly different (as in a few minutes out here and there) it seems strange that i should come across this exact time so often dont you think?
The worst part has to be that i then start singing the chorus of the song......

That's considered to be a special time, for some reason. I think the belief is that your wish(s) will come true of you make them during this time. I think the real question is whether or not 11:11 is as special as The Witching Hour.

Chances are the first time was accident, then you where like "that's a weird time.." then it became a subconscious habit! I used to always wake up EXCATLY at 5:20 am then go back to sleep all because my dog woke me up one night.

I think its just because it's a memorable time but you probably see like 1:47 just as much but don't notice because there is nothing special about 1:47

Firstly: You are awesome - The Young Ones rock and that song is one hell of an earwig! Gets stuck in my head if I hear it.
I think this is normal - I have that with 13:37 (1337 form the internet) and 14:08 (from the film 1408).
If a set of numbers are made more obvious to a person, they may begin noticing them everywhere! Same with words.

As a teenager, i'm very superstitious. It doesnt happen to me all the time but wenever it's 11:11 i make a wish and it usually comes tru =) i think is tru wat they say , u probably just notice it because your aware of it or because this number is special to you. I think it's normal.

That's simply just one of your circadian rhythms giving you the feeling of wondering what time it is. Sometimes happens at 12:18 for me. Your only really taking this time into consideration because you remember every time the clock hits 11:11, but immediately forget when you looked at the clock and it was 3:42. In other words it's completely normal.

the reason why i am interested in the time 11.11 is both me and my partner both do this we both seem to look at the clock at 11.11 and found it very strange but only happens when were not together

This happens to me alot, every time i look at the clock, it almost always reads 22 minuits past whatever hour, but in you situation it may simply be because that number is significant to you and whenever you see it it grabs your attention.

If you believe something, you will see it soon. Sometimes the brain wants to see some things more than other things. So, you notice 11:11, because It's special, but don't notice (remember) other numbers etc.

Uh.. theres like this thing.. google 11:11 on wikipedia and it has all this history back many many years ago, about like how if you make a wish at 11:11 it has more chnace of coming true.

This is a true story of mine: Well my favourite number is 11 and I'm liek pretty obssessed about it and all, and so I decided to ahve this thing with myslef that I'd wish at 11:11pm and if I got the wish in before 11:12 it would come true. And sure they did. But it wasn't until after that that I realised about this history thing, so yeah, that sort of freaked me out, cause I tohught it was my own special thing, but obviously no!

    Algood anyhow.

I thought the same thing..Except think about how many times you look at the clock and it ISN'T 11:11...Or it's 11:12, or 11:10. Choose a different time of day and see if it happens as often. (probably will)

I know what you mean. Seems like I always look at the clock at 12:34.
I think it's just one of the perceptual illusions. Sort of like the way emergency workers will swear that a full moon makes a difference, but every time researchers go back to look at actual records, there is NO sign of it.

I have experienced this for over 20 years now, and judging by some of the internet sites it is a common phenomenon. It happens to me a minimun of four times a week, sometimes twice a day.

The sites that I have seen are a little too mystic for me, like we are some kind of angels getting messages from God. Bulls**t. But it is very weird, and I haven't a clue what it means. Maybe the world will end in November of 2011.
