We didn't go into Iraq until 2003. We went to Afghanistan in 2001. They are 2 different wars, about 2 different things and I have 2 different feelings about them. The war in Iraq was over "WMDs", which they never found. The war in Afghanistan aka the War on Terror was about "9/11".

    Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
    Evil minds that plot destruction
    Sorcerers of death's construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
    Death and hatred to mankind
    Poisoning their brainwashed minds
    Oh lord yeah!

    • Now, in darkness, world stops turning
      Ashes where their bodies burning
No more war pigs have the power
Hand of God has struck the hour

Day of judgment, God is calling
On their knees, the war pigs crawling
      Begging mercies for their sins
      Satan laughing spreads his wings
      Oh, Lord, yeah!

        Politicians hide themselves away
        They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that all to the poor
        Yeah!

Time will tell them they are power minds
        Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait 'til their judgement day comes
        Yeah!

You should cite the title and writers, when it is someone else's intellectual property.

        "War Pigs",
Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward.

The war in Iraq I don't have any opinion on.

But the war in Afghanistan, which I think you're talking about I agree with. Al-Qaeda/Taliban launched an attack against the US, killing thousands of civilians. So declaring war on them is the right thing to do.

What else are you going to do? Ask the extremists very nicely to please not bomb any more of our buildings and kill our civilians. You can't reason with these people, the only thing they want is the destruction of the West and it's allies. War there, prevents any more terrorist attacks on home soil.

Of course I expect this comment to get thumbed down into oblivion, because I've come to realise that users here think that different opinions are wrong and their authors should die. IDGAF.

The ironic thing about this whole war, is that, although the attack on the USA caused much economic damage, it only killed a few thousand individuals. Since this war has been raging, many, many multiples of the number of initial deaths has occurred, on both sides, and at huge expense.

Please do not use -ists and -isms, as these contribute to war-like behaviour, on both sides.

Yes, it's just a word (a word suffix actually).
All these contribute to divisions among people.
If you simply learn to express yourself differently, without using these, then it lessens the likelihood of creating these warring conditions.
It's a simple thing, really. If we all stop using these, then we have the conditions for a peaceful and harmonious global society, instead.

With the answer options I must question your age. Nobody is "pro-war", its not like people just woke up one morning after drinking with their buddies and said "you know guys, I'm getting bored with paint-ball, how about taking this to the next level?". Each war has a cause and that's where the debate comes from, whether you agree with the cause, agree with the cause but believe there are other ways to achieve it, or disagree with it all together. As for the American wars in the last decade, my personal opinion is that the war on terror is necessary as you can't reason with radical people who dedicate their whole life to dying and taking as many as possible with them, and as for the war in Iraq, I'm not entirely sure about the real reason USA invaded Iraq, but nevertheless Saddam Hussein committed many war crimes and overthrowing him was necessary. I think there is a great degree of hypocrisy among people who protest against war and bloodshed, yet don't really consider the weak and helpless people who will suffer if nobody comes and fight for them.

Wars are dumb. They don't achieve anything.
That's all I have to say. I'm not going to write a whole novel on the reasons why they are dumb, they just are.

    I can't remember anything
Can't tell if this is true or dream
Deep down inside I feel to scream
    This terrible silence stops me

Now that the war is through with me
I'm waking up, I cannot see
That there is not much left of me
Nothing is real but pain now

Hold my breath as I wish for death
    Oh please God, wake me

Back in the womb it's much too real
In pumps life that I must feel
But can't look forward to reveal
Look to the time when I'll live

Fed through the tube that sticks in me
    Just like a wartime novelty
Tied to machines that make me be
Cut this life off from me

Hold my breath as I wish for death
    Oh please God, wake me

Now the world is gone, I'm just one
    Oh God help me
Hold my breath as I wish for death
    Oh please God, help me

Human suffering from destruction of war to me pains me regardless if its in the middle east or right in my own backyard. Their pain disturbs me. War is EVIL! it should have become obsolete a long time ago we're civilized enough as a world to be able to work out things between nations w/o having to send our youth to blindly kill people to line the rich's pockets

The point is to demonstrate how our early ancestors communicated with one another, no matter which Indo-European language you speak today.
It also shows how words change meaning over time, through successive languages.
Through the generations, people have added additional meanings and contexts to what these words actually mean.
If you look, 'ubilaz' is the antonym or opposite of 'gōdaz'.

Here, I will copy and paste more "shit", so that perhaps people will learn what the word they like to throw around really means:
