From a religious stand point, it is said in the bible, that no one will no when the end will come.
From a not so religious stand point, their is not enough proof, don't make such a big deal out of it.
If you think its going to end,ask yourself this question. Why didn't the world end in the year 2000 when everyone thought it was? Or how about on 666 day, June 6,2006? It says in the bible,"For thou no one knows the day,time,hour,or seconds that the world is going to end."

people think cuz the mayan calendar ends on this date that the world will end but it's just going to restart the calendar again.
Who care? If the world ends, it ends. I just wish I knew for sure so we could simply take off until it happens. For the first time, we'd max out all the cards, spend the savings, cash in the investments; we'd do two things, travel, and have sex.

The Mayans had no concept of armageddon. (Sp?) Moreover, if the Mayans couldn't predict their own demise, what would make anyone think that the Mayans were able to predict anyone else's demise?!!
The Mayans' calender never said the world will end in 2012. It just completes a rotation. Think of it like a clock.
Oh yeah, by the way, if the world DOES end, than no one will seem stupid afterward for saying it won't because we'll all be dead! But if it doesn't, you people who say it will are going to look like fools! So I use logic to choose my arguments.

The mayan callendar wasn't translated properly, it goes up to 2212 or something, plus it's a cycle so it never actually "ends"
2012 predictions don't say that the world will end, it basically states that things will change in a way that we will have to live differently. It will be a spiritual change (not necessarily religious). Solar flares are increasing and the galaxy next to us is closing in. AND, research on the subject states that it won't happen drectly on that December date...it will be spread out.
I dun think so. but I kind of hope to. haha so then before I die I would do everything I wanted to do. If it happens in 2012, be comforted that everyone will be going with you too. U won't be alone when u die lol.

TIME is the false indicator in this Myth..2012 is Based on the Mayan Calendar which is repeated every 5,000 years.. We don't know exactly what year it truly is because even modern day clocks aren’t accurate, Even seasonal change is a false time calculator because early EARTH didn't have seasons..
So, how could the end of man be marked on a specific date created by Man???
