You won't see me fishing mate it's against my beliefs. Actually it was a fish that inspired my ultimate compassion to give up meat forever. The last dead animal I've ever eaten

Remember this about animal rights activists -

The reason people are more against fur than leather is because it is easier to harass little old ladies than it is to harass bikers.

That's an excellent point, and my mother does actually have a fur coat. If someone ever harassed my mother I would make sure I got plenty of pepper spray in their mouth, and eyes! My mother is 80 years old, and if someone fucks with her they're just begging for an ass whooping!

I am assuming she's one of those no nonsense ones who'll just give what they deserve.

Either just walk off or tell them I’m not interested.

I tend to go fishing with people who like to or want to learn to fish.

Why would anyone go fishing with someone who objects to eating fish?

I don't hunt much anymore; but the same rule applied to hunting when I used to do it.

Accidentally reel back and catch them. Oops.

Curse at them. Should make said activist go away.
Dafuq can they do?! If I wanna fish, I can fish! I got my permit and I fish outside of fish breeding season.

If they continue to annoy me, there is always the option to shove them into the water, calmly pack my things and go home.

I probably wouldn't go fishing alone in the first place as it's not something i'd ever do myself so the person i'd be with would probably handle the situation and i'd stay out of it and laugh at the whole thing in the background.

I'd consider gorging on a still living fish just to fuck with them

I don't actually fish, but I do eat meat, and wear leather. If the person refuses to leave spray with pepper spray. I also have a taser.

What if they have too? Do you think you are on thw safe side of the law attacking another person?

If I repeatedly ask a person who is harassing me to leave me alone I believe that I'm well within my rights to defend myself. Another option would be for me to retreat to my vehicle, and contact the nearest ranger's station.

People who relentlessly harass others are certainly deserving of a bit of pepper spray. If a stranger even lays a hand on me then technically that's assault, and anything I do to protect myself is self defense as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know what the law is in my particular state, but I'm certainly a fan of, and believer in stand your ground laws.

But words alone are not an assault in any state I strongly believe. So if you strike first, it won't be good, dear Karen.

Actually, if someone gets in my face, and doesn't leave me alone when I politely, and repeatedly ask, and tell them to leave me alone they're kinda asking for it.

Being a blabbermouth, and just randomly harassing people is more of a Karen move than whoopin someone's ass for harassment.

Butcher an animal within view of them. Like that awesome dude did at the antler restaurant in canada.

I'm not a fan of fishing (not because I think it's inhumane, but because I find it boring), but I'm an equestrian and have heard earfuls from some very uneducated and overly opinionated people about the way I do certain things, and have had the displeasure with having a few conversations online with "activists" online, which never really got anywhere.

With the people who have given me unsolicited advice about my horsemanship/riding in real life, I usually just smile and nod, and then go back to what I was originally doing. On the few occasions I've had people who didn't know me from Adam make negative comments about tack I was using or the way I did something, I calmly explained to them why I did it that way or used that piece of tack, using it as an opportunity to educate. Usually they shut up about it, but if they still weren't happy, I'd shrug it off and say "My horse, my decision" and walk/ride away.

With the online activists, I have tried to calmly educate as well, but they usually become irate and overly defensive very easily and quickly. I have gotten to the point to where I just avoid the types of sites they are likely to infest. YouTube comments sections are the absolute worst when it comes to know-it-alls and so-called "animal activists" who label everything abuse without having any proper knowledge about it. Lots of Internet "trainers" as well.

If for some reason I was fishing, I would probably just tell them to go away.

I would ignore them. But if someone harassed you tell them the fish would probably be eaten by a far bigger one anyways, so why is it bad if it’s you catching it.

I like animals and all, and I do feel guilt when I eat meat sometimes. But in the animal kingdom animals kill each other over territory, mates, food, and so on. But those people want to ignore that and flip on someone eating a burger, but they don’t bat an eye when a lion hunts and kills a little baby zebra. Which is pretty damn violent and sad. Plus even if you stop fishing that doesn’t change the thousands of other people that fish anyways especially the ones that depend on it for a living.

  • I would probably engage in discourse to assess their mentality and either agree to disagree or say something that flips their world over on them
