Wisdom tooth extraction, but no pain

On the 3rd of Feburary, I had a full wisdom tooth extraction surgery. Everyone was warning me that the recovery would be exceptionally painful, yet I only feel mild discomfort. I'm not taking the opiods they prescribed me, but I am taking antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication.

It's worth mentioning that BEFORE the surgery, I was in significant pain. 3 of my 4 wisdom teeth were horribly impacted and the pain was nearly unbearable.

Is it normal to not feel pain after this surgery?

    I've known people who were back at work not more than a couple days after surgery. My jaw was swollen shut for about a week after my surgery so I geuss it depends on the individual

    I took part in a pain study for my wisdom tooth extraction. 1 was severely impacted. After the removal, I was told to sit and chill until I felt 'the worst pain imaginable' at which point I'd be given a pill which would either be a reformulated version of an existing painkiller, or placebo.

    I never got there. The researcher finally just gave me some pills and sent me home. I never even needed to take the vicodin she went me home with - (I think my ex-wife eventually took them, lol)

    I didn't feel pain either, I even went to school the next day.

    The 3rd day of any surgery is usually the worst but wisdom teeth surgery isnt that bad of one. Back surgeries one of the worst.

    Yep! I had all 4 teeth yanked and didn't have a sliver of pain, and didn't need the pain pills. I didn't have pain before either.

    Fuck you, OP. This post is wrong on so many levels. There are people that don't have any teeth and talking about your teeth is making them feel bad. Such an inconsiderate fuck.
