          Probably because its a stereotype and theres truth behind it. Back in the day there wasnt many ppl in the south and the only ppl to marry were your distant cousins. In my small town I grew up in the chief was my uncle. My dad was the city planner. My sister became a teacher. Everyone was kind of related in a way.

          My friends sister wasnt his blood sister tho. They met when he was 12 through marriage and she was FINE.

          Its not worth it but you live and you learn. It hasnt ruined our friendship. We kind of grew apart anyway and he's always in trouble so I stay away. Still I wouldn't do it again with a friend of mine.

    I would probably leave the cousin out of it in the beginning, at least. If you want to experiment, find a couple you both like some not-so-close folks elsewhere, like strangers in a swinging club who are willing to help first timers.
