Why do people come on here, if not to offer advice ?

This website, is fairly average, as blog/ and Q & A sites go..... but a LOT of readers, love to spew hate, stupidity, condone violence, and are rude to those who disagree with their point of view. They often don't address the posters' questions, but rather, attack commenters, about stuff that has nothing to do, with O/P's questions. is it normal ?

I primarily like to help others, with advice 1
I like to learn, also, by reading others' advice 2
Some of the comments don't address the Poster's question(s) 0
A lot of the comments are hateful, demeaning, or just ignorant 1
Some of these "regulars" have solid advice 4
Some of these "regulars" are obnoxious, and think they are funny 5
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

    Yes completely normal. The question is just a jumping off point to pose your own views.

    I don’t have social media except this site
    It’s not as big yet, not that chaotic and it is normally for, well, asking for advice on problems you’d normally don’t post anywhere and can stay anonymous
    Most of the things posted here don’t usually appear much outside of here
    And I have to say some trolls are very amusing

    I love non-Troll, and valid questions, of real people asking real advice.
    What irritates me, the most, is when certain folks come on here, and don't even answer the question of the Original Poster, but instead, they bicker amongst themselves, insult other commenters, or offer the most sarcastic and asinine "advice" I've ever heard.

    I guess it's normal: "when you turn on the lights, you can see all the cockroaches"

    I come here when I'm bored when or if I'm eating or if I'm coming back from somewhere and the bus or person driving is taking forever.

    ill be real I randomly found this site one day and I just happen to use it randomly I have other sites that frequent like reddit and other sites.

    but even I use those sites randomly as well I'm just a random guy born at a random time in a random world doing random things.

      As a part time bus driver (on Saturdays at least), I can tell you we try to get the shift over with as quickly as possible. Especially night shifts.

      Day trips with a coach full of pensioners to some monument is the best thing you can get, but most times you don't get that...

      You ever had a hen party, or a bachelor party in your bus? The noise, the ruckus, the stench (should someone vomit)... not fun.
