Why do hard drug users look so old for their age? is it normal they do?

All the people I know who are my age range(mid 20s to early 30s) that do heavy drugs always look older than what they actually are. They have wrinkles, thinning hair, bad teeth, and saggy skin. They look like they're 40. These same people have nagged me at one point or another to try the drugs, but observing their looks is what makes me not even want to try them. Is it normal for drugs to age people?

Hard drugs like meth cause unnatural aging. Also drug addicts are much less likely to invest time in personal hygiene and healthy habits.

Drugs are bad for your body so doing drugs will eventually make your body look crappy.

    • I live in the ghetto. White people are rare here. The people I'm talking about are Hispanic and Black.
