You should ALWAYS include an 'Other' option in this kind of poll.
Also, why include White, Hispanic? You haven't split any of the others up into sub-categories. Just put White.
I'm white (caucasian) of European ancestry, predominantly Celtic.
The ones you stated aren't really races.
There are 5 races:
Congoid: Most Africans south of the Sahara
Capoid: Khoisans people on South African
Australoid: Australian Aborigines, Negritos, Melanesians, some Indians
Caucasoid: White Europeans, Middle Easterners, Indians, Afghans
Mongoloid: East Asian, Polynesian, Southeast Asian, Micronesian, Native Americans.
im black indian and chinese most of these traits are ofcourse really trace amounts, bt most people in america arent fully anything anymore, cept white people because i honestly wouldnt know how to classify them in terms of ancestory. so mixed for white people could b like british and spanish... engh :P (no offense to white people/Caucasians)
this poll is biased. china is so big how can there be so little asians voting here?
Because:
a) the Chinese prefer Chinese-language websites
b) about 1% of Chinese people can speak English (10 million - about the population of Sweden)
c) internet censorship is fairly strict in China (Google, Facebook, Youtube and Twitter are all blocked, among others - though the tech-savvy Chinese can find ways around it)
A and B apply to most countries in Asia - many do not speak English and prefer websites in their own language. Which is entirely understandable. Hence low rates of ethnically asian people on IIN.
I think I'm part aardvark, part natural spring water. That's why people think I'm so fresh :)
It seems like race has been a hot topic recently, you know, the whole Paula Deen incident. LoL there was this "college humor" video on her its hilarious. Anyway, I find tihs question rather interesting. which racial group am i a "member" of. Theres that distinction. May I ask why you worded it that way? or was it completely unintentional.? who knows
Im always approached by asians who come try to talk to me, but i wasnt raised in that culture. My mom is venezuelan and my dad has some asian mixed with white, but we grew up with the latin culture mostly from her side of the family.
