Yup. Way too common.
I myself like a drink every now and again, and I strongly believe in people's right to choose their own poison, but it does amaze me that so many people think of alcohol as safe and socially acceptable when it's so much more harmful than many illegal substances.
I've seen alcoholics totally destroy their lives (and other's). Pot isn't addictive like alcohol and long term effects appear to be far, far less serious than alcohol. Yeah, stoners may not be the most industrious members of society, but they're pretty entertaining when they start laughing about something, they're really fun to freak out, and are usually pretty forgiving because they forget stuff.
Pot heads are kind of annoying but drunkards are often a REAL pain in the ass.
Some people get drunk and are pretty relaxed but some drunks think they are 10 feet tall and bullet proof. Especially drunk males. Their systems are already poisoned with testosterone. Add alcohol and nothing good can come of it.
About arguing organ donations -
There is one organ that no one on this site needs to donate - Their brains.
But I think though we should donate Rose's Siamese cat to a family that doesn't have a kitty cat. I am just feeling in a generous, giving mood.
Both are unappealing and unacceptable to me. Anyone who has an addiction to any kind of drug is a sad and sorry case. I feel bad for them in a way, but also not really because it was their choice to get started with that bad habit. Same goes for smoking cigarettes and vaping. All bad habits that are pathetic and demeaning in my opinion.
Common sense. When you smoke (assuming they mean smoking pot) you inhale carcinogens, the same shit that causes cancer in cigarette smokers. As for alcohol, it's common knowledge
Though as far as i'm aware, the actual chance of cancer due to inhalation of carcinogens is quite low
I just don't care to donate my organs. I used to know a guy who was in an accident who was on all these machines, and the doctors were asking his family to take him off life support, because they wanted his organs. Well, it turns out the guy made an almost full recovery. I don't want to take any chances. My organs will either be buried with me, or burned to a fine powder. Like I said before I'm not obligated to donate my organs, and I don't think that makes me a bad person.
A lot of times if a person ends up on life support the medical professionals will want family to hurry up and take the patient off life support so they can harvest the organs. Some people will swear that never happens, but I know someone who lived through that experience. I would rather it be clear that my organs are not available.
I just don't care to take chances with my own life, for the sake of donating what is mine. I don't think I'm a bad person. I would rather not ever donate my organs.
