When i was about 8 years old, i didn't really have an appetite?

When I was about 7 or 8, I did not have an appetite. My family would always have to ask me if I ate because I wouldn't eat otherwise. My parents took me to a doctor who apparently prescribed me drugs to give me an appetite. Is this type of thing common in young children? Any thoughts?

Edit: I'm asking out of curiosity. As human beings we all have to eat to survive, correct? Our bodies allow us to experience hunger in order to make sure we receive what is needed to survive. If true, why did I not experience this feeling as a child? Is this common in children and if so, any ideas on what it might have been? Thanks

This is so uninteresting. Wow. I'm a really curious guy and I've never seen a post this boring.

It was a long time ago, so I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you're healthy now, that is what matters.

Hey, thank you for your response! It's not that I'm worried (I'm actually not worried about it at all), I was only asking out of curiosity. If anyone had any thoughts on matter.
