What to do about a stiff achy toe, hard to walk

Big toe aches when I move it, like the cartilage in it has stiffened or something. 3 years ago I had ankle fusion (arthritis), and it seems in the last few months the aching has worsened. My balance is terrible

    That sounds more like gout. You should see your doc asap.

    How sensitive is it to pain? If something as light as a bedsheet causes a lot of pain, it might be gout
