      No way. I left NY at that time cause it was dirty and dangerous. Mayor Lindsey had it all f***ed up. Tmes square was all porno places.

    1977 New York had the best heroin and it was really cheap. Also the economy was pretty good. LA in 92 was full of aids and crackheads and isnt that the year of the Rodney King riots?

    Personally, I'd pick Bulgaria in the 90s... ain't no place like home! Lot of money to be made via not perfectly legal means, but LA in 1992 sounds good too.

    1. Invest in tech companies.
    2. Quickly become a billionaire, or at least multi-millionaire.
    3. Profit.

      Wasn't Bulgaria in a massive post-cold war recession back then though like the rest of the eastern block? Then it's unlikely you would have the resources to invest, unless illegal stuff I guess.

        Illegal gains, that's what I meant. Racketeering, repainting stolen cars, new VIN number and papers, bank fraud with fake companies... stuff like that.

        That last one was easy af. Register a new company, get some random bum off the street to sign as owner of the company, pay said bum 500 bucks (a LOT of money for the common man back then) take out a big loan from the bank, or from several banks take the cash and vanish.
        The bank ain't gonna get their money from the bum and he can't rat you out, cause he doesn't know your name. Profit!
        Rinse and repeat when you need more cash.

        It's how 70% of Bulgaria's successful businessmen made their first few millions.

        Alot of ppl dont know this but he was head of the mob at only 26. He looks 40 but he was mid to late 20s when he was in power.
