I like to use the pink salmon that comes in a package (not the canned stuff, as it has a gross texture to me) in my macaroni and cheese and as a replacement for tuna in Tuna Helper. I think the texture and flavor is better than tuna.

As for fish as the main course, I like catfish and tilapia.

Tilapia are trash fish. Try baramundi, it's sustainable farm raised here in Florida.

Never heard of it, but I'll have to try it! Unfortunately, I live in the Midwest and the pickings here are pretty slim for fish and seafood.

Swordfish. Tuna is a close second when seared and still red in the middle with a nice wasabi vinaigrette.

Fish sticks, for real, as I don't like seafood. In fish sticks I don't really taste any fish

Not been much of a fish eater. Though I do enjoy crab, both real and imitation (suppose that counts for fish)

I love sushi though, most types. Eel sauce too but not eel meat.

Used to love fish though once I ate fish sticks when i was 7. Got stricken by bad food poisoning and I couldn't stomach fish until I discovered sushi.

During fish frys I am able to down 2-3 before my brain turns on the "hate cooked fish" part and I cant stomach more.

Whale meat also isnt as good as one might think. Take some steak and marinate it in crude oil and you would get the gist of what whale tastes like.

Vegetarian for health or moral reasons?

If for health than good for you. If for moral reasons I dont understand why fish deserve equal treatment as an animal. They are barely above the inteligence of insects.

For various reasons, including environmental and moral, but I don't really wanna discuss it with strangers on the internet.

Isnt that the safest place for it though?

No one is going to care and if you get too much flak you can always change names.

As for the treatment of fish. Yeah I'm sure they can feel pain but I question if its more like a bad and get away from danger or it's the agonizing level of pain we feel.

I'm a big fan of rainbow trout but salmon is a close second. I also like fried catfish but it's unhealthy so I haven't had it in ages. (Since I moved from Arkansas actually.)

Cod is usually pretty safe wherever you go. I like salmon but that's kinda iffy sometimes. My grandma used to batter and fry bullhead. That's about the best I ever had. Smallmouth is good to if made right.

I said salmon but it depends. If you’re talking battered fish, it’s cod, but I love a baked salmon with garlic butter.
