Actually the wisdom of the crowd is usually wrong.
Wealthy people have leaned to do the opposite of what the crowd is doing. They win and increase their wealth more often than not.
Everything will go "back to normal"? What's normal for the country? It seems like some hysteria is always gripping one or both sides at any given moment
Rose by any other name. Unless someone succeeds from the union all people will do is name call and have the occasional bout of violence that wont even achieve their goals as violence turns people against you.
Example blm had a larger percentage of support before George floyd than now. The difference? The rioting gutted their perception. It spiked during but it spiked downwards when the rioting got worse. Peaceful protests drive support. Violence does the opposite.
It's in the loser's court to show how badly they lost. Jan 6 was bad. But it wasnt game over evidently for the midterms. Where you got joe biden giving speeches in supposedly safe blue areas. Politically that would be worthless... unless they weren't as safe as you thought.
"Go back to normal" I think this is unlikely and depends on your opinion on what normal is.
Any of those choices can realistically happen in the future. I think if everything went to normal it would have to be after real problems are experienced like a bad recession which is likely. When ppl have real problems they forget about their first world problems and society reverts back to its natural order to survive.
