Usa has never had

A generation with more battle experienced soldiers than today. This generation has seen more combat than any generation since we have been at war for 20 years. We have a military full of experienced soldiers right now ready to go. The leadership in the US military right now grew up in war.

Not really. Practically every war took a percentage of the males and turned them into warriors.

This isnt the worst thing on the planet funnily enough. It gives us an edge vs countries that havent fought wars in decades *cough* China *cough*

Yes this generation has more experience than any. My generation was raised by vietnam veterans and were deployed in 2001. Now they're in their 40s with their own kids fighting in the middle east and they're now in leadership positions in the military. I just feel like there's never been a time where America has been so battle tested. We have more experienced soldiers than ever in the history of America.

I suppose that's true too. Though these wars have been different. Not really fighting another military that much, mostly just insurgents. Which is a lot harder to fight than a uniformed military, then again the Geneva conventions dont cover insurgents so that's something else to consider.

Not to be super morbid but for fighting a war 20 years our casualty rates are super low. Which is good. It also gives us good in field tests of our new weapons and armor, something that is invaluable in further development.

The post civil war generation likely had the most % of military experience.

I believe that post WWII also had more than the current.

You would have to look at WWI, the Korean War, and some others to compare to current.

Honestly, not much of the population of the USA has been involved in fighting wars in the last 40 years. Nothing like the Civil War, WWI and WWII.

WW2 was only like 5 years for us though. I did think about that with thr civil war but again it was short and not a conflict to follow it. We have been in the middle east forever

But the numbers of deployed effects this. Hell I was serving in the navy during the first trump presidency. Did I fight in any war? Nope just did normal 7th fleet stuff of pissing off china and going port to port.

Sure america might have a larger standing force than ww2 but not all the manpower has seen conflict.

Nah, the USA has been fighting cockroaches for years. It hasn't seen a serious war in ages.

You are right but then again Cockroaches can be hard to defeat for a strong military. Its hard when you dont know who the enemy is. Atleast the russians gonna be wearing uniforms against us and we will see their tanks and ships in the sea. The ones we fight say hi and shake our hands then when we leave the village shoot us in the back and disappear. A strong military doesnt do that much good against that. Russia couldnt defeat the afghans either. Conventional warfare is what generals study their whole lives.

I remember I use to work with all blacks and my job was to bring the trailers and they unloaded them. But I was always nice and got out and helped them unload (even tho it was clearly not my job) one day the boss came up and asked them to get the other trailers also in the next door. One of the guys told me "you notice how he only told us and not you? Its cause you white." I was in disbelief I was trying to be nice to these assholes and go outta my way to help them then they accuse me of using white privilege. It should have been obvious it wasnt my job. I slowed down on getting out of my truck and helping them after that and they complained to the boss. The boss told them it wasnt my job. Then they said "oh NOW its not his job..." and accused me of using white privilege. They said "we all saw you you was out here unloading until this week... what you mean it aint yo job?"

I started noticing that the race card can be thrown around too quickly now and some people arent really being racist.
