Trend in reactions to u.s. federal judges overruling existing law

I've noticed that whenever federal judges in America overturn existing law to favor a liberal agenda (e.g. sanctuary cities where it's not illegal for you to simply be there) it's always celebrated and stories report it as some kind of universal objective good that occurred. When federal judges overturn existing law to favor a conservative agenda (e.g. sorry guys, no more killing babies) it's smeared and attacked as if Lucifer himself just stepped one foot onto the mortal plane

Shouldn't condemnation of judges overruling existing law be based on the act itself, not the result?

It's almost as if the two political parties only want what THEY want.

EXACTLY! They have no balls and the democrats simply do. I think slowly but surely they will get more and more ballsy as time goes on. I think Trump may have left the white house with classified documents of dirt on his opponents they may get leaked before 2024 vote. Anything can happen.

The roe v wade thing wasnt even really overturning a law it was overturning a bogus mental gymnast decision by some liberal judge back in the day. That judge argued abortion is a womans right to privacy under the 4th amendment or something like that. They freaked out that the new court simply ruled thatthe 4th amendment doesnt cover abortion so state can make laws regarding it until congress makes their own. Congress can make a law legalizing it and it will be federally legal.

Congress is clearly going to do that, eventually, as well. Yet people still see it as some sort of massive win. If Roe v Wade weren't overturned, they wouldn't be putting a "right" to abortion into Michigan's constitution, for example. In reality, it was, at best, a slight delaying of the inevitable.

I agree. The republicans seem to be such cucks too and wont do much to ban it they arent willing to really do anything good when they take power. They wont even do effective voter reform in their states when they take power even though they complain their elections arent secure. Ron DeSantis seems to be the only guy with a little sense right now. I hope he gets the nomination over Trump

Why do you think DeSantis is establishment? I like him because he flipped Dade County (Miami) which is one of the gayest counties in the country and hispanic. He got their vote even after banning transgender curriculum in schools. He just comes off as more reasonable and doesnt cause as much of the insane reaction by lefties.

I actually prefer Trump but I think they'd assassinate him before they let him in again or do something crazy. DeSantis is a guy that goes under their radar more. Trump started the movement but I think its time for Trump to retire and let the next wave of conservatives come in. I worry Trump is gonna hurt DeSantis brand and then have an election rigged against him anyway.
