To no longer support a youtuber after finding out they did illegal shit?

I used to watch AzzMan ( a dude who would upload stuff about Yandere Simulator ) and I find out months and years later that he tried to go in with underaged people ( which is completely illegal ), at this point I just feel disgusted that he would even do this and that was when I had stopped supporting him all together.

People like him who do unforgivable crap like that do not deserve a platform, in my opinion YouTube should only to be given to people who know their moralities.

I dont blame you for this but I wouldnt want social media companies to be the ones to decide who is and isnt moral.

name me one person who has not done something illegal! everyone at some time has broken the law, even if it is just taking a paperclip, as that is stealing and illegal

    Who cares. It's so dumb
People who think this way need to go to outer space without helmets on

Normal. Everyone has their standards. I do something similar. It is not enough to be merely talented enough for me to admire you. You have to conduct your private life impeccably too. My own niece said I would never get a man even if I wanted one (which I don't!) because I set my standards too high.

I stopped supporting her awhile ago but this is how I felt about the Creepshow Art stuff.

There's a lot of bad people out there, but there are also good people too. Don't let this make you a misanthrope.

That was wild, making multiple personas to anonymously trash talk herself and then doxing her own sister. Now apparently she has been harassing other art YouTubers for years, this is turning into “Bye Sister” all over again.

It’s hard not to feel betrayed when we learn celebrities who we let ourselves get attached to aren’t who we thought they were at all.

The stuff with Emily hit the hardest for me. I had a feeling Shannon was two faced, but that's an entirely different level of insanity and dedication.

I really try not to have parasocial relationships because of stuff like this. I always try and remember they are humans, full of mistakes, vices, and prejudices. I think the person that's the closest for me regarding that is Kurt Cobain, but he had his own issues, of course. I'm also a fan of his daughter, who unfortunately gets a lot of harassment from brain dead Nirvana fans who constantly comment on her social media, "Your mom killed your dad! Your mom killed your dad!"

It honestly disgusts me how some fans behave, they get behind a screen and their compassion goes out the window. To even call themselves fans after treating their idol’s family so horribly is delusional, how do they think Kurt would feel if he could see them harassing his daughter like that?

I think it’s impossible for us not to become attached to celebrities at all, ever since celebrities in the modern sense have existed people have been invested in them and their lives. I don’t think I know anyone who’s never felt let down by a famous person. It’s just important to keep reminding ourselves that we don’t really know them and any assumptions or theories we make about them are just that.
