To get annoyed by gaming steriotypes

The steriotype that women only enjoy "casual" and "simulations." This really grinds my gears. I don't consider phone games to be video games, and isn't every game technically a simulation? When you're playing GTA you're simmulating killing radom people, cop chases, and heist. When you're playing MK you're simmulaing ripping out a man's spine, and so on. I'm a girl and I enjoy everything from sims 3 to God of war. Hearing these steriotypes kill me! The only thing I like about sims is customization, which I think I'll do a poll on. What do you think fellow gaming men and women? Do you hate gaming steriotypes? What gaming steriotypes do you hate?

    I don't even think about it anymore. I'm female, and I also play video games, by the way. I'm definitely picky about games I play, but not because I am female. I used to play WoW when I was young but I can't stand the thought of it now. I've been going pretty hard on Civ. I just avoid/ignore anyone who perpetuates dumb stereotypes.

    Honestly, I don't care what people say about it. It's they're opinion and I don't let it bother me. Don't worry about people who dog on you playing video games. I never do. You do you boo boo.

    I don't care about video game stereotypes.
    Whenever I want to play something, I play it.

    As for sims... Sims is a house building simulator. At least for me. Why would I make npcs go to work and do pretty much all the stuff every human does in real life? Make a big house, put lots of cars in a massive garage, enjoy what you've built.

    I only dislike it when people say simulators are for nerds. Cause, while there are rubbish simulators like Street cleaning simulator, towtruck simulator and Bagger simulator... There are some excellent vehicle simulators. How does flying a jet make me more nerdy, than someone playing a hack and slash?
