Tired of humans and their bullshit

Lately so much shit is been going down, and the more I hear bad news, read about history n stuff, I think it'd be better if we were just wiped out of planet earth.

Humans are the worst of the animals living now, and the only things we've been doing is to kill, tame and consume other animals, destroy nature, and leave a trail of destruction behind. I believe that this place would be better off without us. We need a new Chicxulub sized disaster to cleanse planet earth, so that we cease to exist and destroy other species.

Imagine how much better it'd be for other animals in risk of extinction, to places that were polluted to slowly recover or create new life resistant to the toxicity, and no interference of filthy, hypocritical humans like us.

Yeah, I'm tired too. 22
Don't care. 9
Nah, I'm ok with it. 9
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

        • I live in a third world country, working my ass off everyday just so I can survive with little enough to buy food and pay bills, being my biggest luxury my phone and that's it.
I see everyday homeless people living under bridges, being mistreated, even being hurt by the ones you call "good people", dying of hypothermia in the middle of the night bc they don't have a roof under their heads, no food for the day, having to fight between themselves, etc. Whenever I have the chance I give them the leftovers of my food during break, and most of them agree on how ppl are shitty.

Be careful with that tongue of yours. I'd say you're the one living in a bubble by reading all the replies u gave to the others comments. Don't go on thinking you're high authority. With an ego and being clueless like that, I doubt you'd survive a day in here. You're just as worthless as any other human being and would be better off being one of the first to be exterminated. You're no superior to any other animals. Want some proof? Get yourself locked in a jail with a lion. Try to get friendly with a wild elephant. Go pet a guard dog.

Also, "we're as bad as we're good". Talk about hypocrisy in it's pure form. Like throwing a rock at the cross and saying it was the wind who done it.

And yes, history should be erased, so that any creature that could evolve after we disappear can never repeat the same mistakes we did in the past.

Humans are only terrible because we have the freedom to be terrible. We also have the freedom to do truly amazing things.

As bad as humans are, we are just as good. It's just circumstances that determine what was good and what was bad.

We are living in the most peaceful time in human history. Theres no major wars going on between powers. Just group A vs group B.

There are more good people then bad people. Has always been like that.

Another hypocrite little bitch bitching on the internet about his/her own species destroying the earth while s/he lives inside a house filled with furnitures and shit made from sources of nature and uses things in his/her daily lives that contribute to pollution. Get out of your house, live, eat and shit in the forest then, you dumbfuck.

Not only furniture that contributes to pollution. Hell the materials that make up those furniture could come from dozens of places on earth because economically it was cheaper to use chinese steel, american timber and produced in europe then transported to the walmart near you! Go seek the meaning of hypocripsy on the dictionary rather than hugging trees all day...

Human beings aren't as bad as you think when you stop focusing on just the negative aspects of them.

Hitler wasn’t that bad when you stopped focusing on the negative aspects. There’s a reason people focus on the negative aspects, it’s because the negatives far outweigh the positives. When it comes to the impact of humans on nature, there’s not one single solitary positive. It’s all negative.

As far as the hypocrisy bullshit, try actually reading the OP. See the words “we” and “us” in there? That’s not how hypocrisy works.

A compelling argument. You speak nothing but truths. Humans are indeed fundamentally the same as animals. However, that means animals are fundamentally the same as humans. Humans kill, destroy, and exploit. Animals kill, destroy, and exploit. Before humans, there was no peace. Arguably, before life, there was no peace. So what good does destruction do? If you want peace, stop looking to the world for it. Look to yourself. You have reasons to be happy, and if by some stroke of horrible luck you don't or can't find any, then give yourself a reason to be happy.

I don't believe I am the right person to tell this to you. In fact, I am not. Honestly, it's entirely possible this post was made to troll, since there seems to be a lot of self-entitled loonies on this site. Something like this certainly gets a reaction. But for the person legitimately struggling with this dilemma, I can't in good conscience leave them be.

I didn't ask to have what I have, and neither did you. I'm young and self-entitled, and I've decided to make the most of my life. OP, be more self-entitled, and make the most of your life.

    • That's dumb. Humans are only capable of destruction bc they are rational.

Have u seen any zebras start a world war? Lions commiting genocidal acts by bombing cities?
Tell me one good thing humans ever did to the planet.

Besides, how there'll be happiness if humans are so ignorant today and the only thing they do is to look at their own shoes?

Also, yeah this site is full of "I have the high authority bc muh opinion and muh feelings r superior therefore im the right one." It was better years ago when it was just a bunch of weirdos helping each other with their weirdness and sharing their stories. Now this place became a cesspool of fart sniffers.

      • Clunk42

If you're going to argue that humans and animals are the same, then lions have committed genocide. They've committed genocide against prey animals. When people hunted a certain species of wolf to near extinction, the deer in that area over-grazed, starving themselves and eachother to death with the same ignorance you claim only humans have. Animals have not actually done anything good to the planet, while humans have. Humans may have done more bad than good to the planet, but animals haven't done either.

        Comment Hidden ( show )
      • its4amandimreallytired

I don't really want to argue, but, what I said wasn't dumb. Tell me one good thing animals have done for the planet. Tell me one good thing humans have done for the planet. The first mistake with that argument is that it generalizes, and the second is that it assumes there's quantifiable good. Even if there was quantifiable good, and either humans or animals achieved any amount, what's the point? Earth is a singular planet in the entire universe. Any amount of good attained would be statistically meaningless.

You are half-right about the one funndamental truth we understand and will ever understand. Humans are ignorant. People have ALWAYS been ignorant. I am ignorant, and you are ignorant. And in our short lives neither of us will escape that. And yes, I'm aware of the fallacy that I speak of my own ignorance as absolute truth.

However, that is my point. If we want to find meaning, or something quantifiable, we have to accept what we think we know as truth. That's the hypocrisy of life.

Who else is going to bring life to other planets. Yes, we've fucked up a lot of shit, but it's really not all as bad relatively, and compared to what we can and very likely will do we will be a god send to the universe.

I think we could definitely terraform Mars by then. As well as have processing plants on Venus and a few institutions on Titan. That's assuming we dont crack wormholes or FTL travel by then. Heck we would use the moon as a giant space port mining helium on the surface to have cheap welding gas to add to the supply we get from fusion reactors.

    • We don't consume animals just by eating. Using their fur, training them to hunt other animals, use them as work tools, for entertainment (and let's not even go for those that use them as sex toys, ugh), etc, is also a form of consuming them

Would you rather just have us eat the meat and leave the rest to rot?

        Comment Hidden ( show )
      • LloydAsher

Why not? We ARE superior to them. Individually we rank on the food chain approximately where pigs inhabit. But since we are both smart and social that bumps us up to the apex rank.

What is the point of life for animals? Reproduce and spread their genetic line. In that instance farm animals are doing EXTREMELY well. Animals that partner up with humans even if they are just for consumption get to spread their traits (that we want) down through the ages.

You only get to retroactively say we are terrible to animals because since the dawn of human history we exploited them to benefit ourselves.

Did you know certain ant colonies farm fungi and use aphids as cattle? Seriously ants have been farming for longer than we have. Farming is efficent for gaining food with less risk than hunting and foraging.

Capablitly of rationality and body structure is why we are superior. Give a deer human inteligence and they have a very slightly higher chance to escape preditors but at a cost of consuming 40% more food to offset brain use.

Humans need hands to use tools. We are a winning combination of traits. Dinosaurs had their chance to create lizard people.

Humanity will always have elements of good and evil. It's up to you to live in a way that you believe is right and engage with others in a respectful manner. It's all we can do and at least it's a step in the right direction.

There’s a point when I felt similar things.

What helped me was to realize that yes, there is a lot of awful stuff going on in the world. Civilization and humanity has some dark aspects and in some respects, society used to be worse, and we’re living in a very privileged time, you’re privileged to be using a computer to type this post compared to hundreds of years ago being in serfdom. Keyboard warriors vs real warriors who had, not by much choice, to go out into the world to save themselves, their people, their country, etc.
There have always been problems with the world, it’s not perfect, but it helps to focus on the good, the positive, and there are plenty of good and positive things happening every day.

The second thing is - pay more attention to your own life, in the present moment. While it seems insensitive to say this, the lives of billions of other people on this planet aren’t going to affect you, and you shouldn’t be too concerned about them. Be more concerned about your own life and where it’s going, while still having some compassion and interest in world affairs, just realize there’s not a whole lot you can do about it - you can do a lot more on a personal, local and smaller scale.

I think those complicated people need to make their lives easier simply listening to classical music on their pocket radios, and they need to move on with their lives instead of stewing in the macabreness of life, well here's a clue: change your life! Change your reality, and move house if you don't like it!
