The urge to bite when i feel a certain texture?

Sometimes when I feel the texture of a sweater, (I think its cotton or wool)My mouth waters and I want to bite it.Its like my upper canine tooth just tingles and my mouth waters like I want to bite it. I never want to eat it, Just bite it. Its only when I feel a certain texture especially sweaters.

It seems similar to when some people like to feel certain materials to calm down. During tests, some kids need to hold a small piece of sand paper or something calming to them. Is it normal? I'm unsure. Should you worry too much about it? Probably not.

I still don't know why people put cotton in their mouth, I've read a billion stories like "IIN that I hate the feel of cotton in my mouth?" Why the fuck do people put cotton in their mouths if they don't like it? Sounds retarded to me.

Ooh. Anytime I see a sponge I have the urge to lick it or chew on my tongue. I have know idea why, I think it's just the texture. (Spongebob doesn't count)

Did you bite similar materials when you were smaller, if so you may have gained a conditioned response to bite them (not normal, but I don't see why it should be a problem).
